Intro

I am Erica, a full-time student and aspiring designer. I am studying Visual Communication Design. I'm interested in typography and color.

I am inspired by everyday life around me, even just the streets I walk on. Both great design and poor design inspire me.

My influences come from the things I encounter in daily life, from the people I meet to the music I listen to. I'm also influenced by other artists and designers who have staked a claim in the design realm before me.

My hope in my life is that I can have a significant impact on someone's life in a positive way, either through my design work or otherwise. I want to make other people experience happiness, even if for a moment.

Here's an image that best describes me and my vision. It's a picture of me and a few of my good friends, just having fun and enjoying life. I guess you could say my vision is what I feel is captured here in this photo. It's the feeling of warmth and even joy, being surrounded by a solid network of support. It just gives you a good feeling. That's my vision and hope.

Six key words that best describe me? Positive, playful, warmhearted, cautious, determined, and real.

Your Final Initial Problem/Purpose Statement Proposals:
The current Surgeon General's warning on cigarette packs in San Francisco are ineffective at informing smokers of the risks associated with smoking.

The purpose of this study was to research and develop a visual solution that would have a greater effect on consumers' cigarette buying habits.
